Right, Mr. Nexus, I want to know how you've tuned into my Tuesday night sessions so well?
Brilliant. The book is on order. I'm HIGHLY entertained. |

Well if you look under the table in your gaming room, you'll find a small black box stuck to the underside...
But seriously, I'm very glad you liked it, and thanks hugely for ordering Game Night. _________________ "...if you like your humour coarse and black, this will probably have you rolling on the floor with laughter."

I thought that was the dice holder.
Silly me.
Clearly that's what you get for allowing Girls [tm] into the gaming room.
(Got my Other Half to read Saving Stone last night; he too is enamoured and we're looking forward to reading Game Night when it gets here!) |

Hats off, once again!
I finished it a while ago, but haven't had the opportunity to show my appreciation.
You've produced another little gem!
I wouldn't say it was too short - it's a little prelude to Game Night, and understand that.
I'd rather say my hunger is not yet sated. Feed me more Humour, Mr Nexus! _________________ "I hope I die like my grandmother did, peacefully & painlessly in her sleep.................. Not screaming like everyone else who was in the car"

Hi Sin,
Sorry for taking ages to reply to this. Things have been a bit mad over the last few weeks in various ways (nothing earth-shattering). Which is one reason why this post is also rather short.
Anyhow, thanks for that. It's really nice to hear, especially since I haven't had much feedback on Saving Stone and have been quite concerned/paranoid as a result.
And yeah, I am beavering away on the new novel.

Well, I just dl'd Saving Stone, and next time I put some money in the bank, I'll finally break down and order Game Night. I guess Johnny isn't going to send all posters who are (or were) regulars a free copy, engraved on golden plates. Damn. _________________ Not for me be the vaunt of woe;

Well, I just ordered Game Night about five minutes ago through Amazon for about ten dollars, plus shipping. I made sure it was a new copy so Johnny gets paid.
I also ordered Dr Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog at the same time. _________________ Not for me be the vaunt of woe;

Photi said he's having a hard time reading Game Night. He says it brings back bad memories of game sessions. He in no way implied that JN may, or may not, be a hack writer. Never said that.
However, his memory is terrible. Could that just be his cop out, to save JN's feelings?
Before you ask if I've read it, you mother fuckers know I can't read. This is just a string of random letters. _________________ Proud & Faithful Member number 2 of The I Hate Dragon Lance 'coz it's Shit Club. |

Actually, I think it's quite good. Way better than Adams ever was, or Pratchett's early stuff, but I'll admit I don't think it's quite as good as Pratchett's lastest work.
What it reminds me of is when our group was too big, due to certain character likenesses. Warrior reminds me of nearly every character ever played by our guy that nearly always rolled 20's. Sleeper reminds me of your Drums's former friend and bandmate. Lady makes me think of either Mrs Critical Success, or the wife of that asshole guard from the county jail, a bit of both, come to think of it. Jester reminds me of Drums. I have to keep putting Game Night down cause I get irritated at a few of those that are no longer in the group. _________________ Not for me be the vaunt of woe;

You'd love it. Jester's PC is a halfling with a rather dirty mix breed riding dog.
Though I haven't finished Game Night, I'm rather hoping the solution to everything ends up being figured out by Dog (not the halfling's transport, but the Lord of Man's Loyalty.) _________________ Not for me be the vaunt of woe;
